PENGEMBANGAN MODUL MITIGASI BENCANA BERBASIS POTENSI LOKAL YANG TERINTEGRASI DALAM PELAJARAN IPA di SMP

This research aims to produce modules based on local potentials disaster mitigation area Panti, Jember that integrated in science subjects at secondary school. Disaster mitigation is an effort to reduce disaster risks that must be communicated through education. The material on module is associatedwith the local potential, so students recognize and know the local potential of the local area,it can make students to develop their environmental awareness and to minimize disasters caused by humans. The design development used in this research was the 4-D development model. This research conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Panti. Results of this research is the validation that consist of 4,3 value of instructional review and 4,0 value of technical review, so validation results of the products developed is valid. Based on the analysis of learning results, 77% students have high category values. Environmental awarenes attitude has increased between before and after learning in each aspect and moreover students show their positive response to this module. This research has concluded that development module is valid and the module can be used as teaching material.
