Abstract

Cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) with demonstration method is the learning model that combines individual learning and group learning which students work in heterogeneous groups to facilitate the students finish the job and give students the opportunity to be active in learning activities by way of demonstration. The purpose of this research is to describe the students' learning activities through the implementation of cooperative learning model type TAI with demonstration method for learning science-physics and assess whether there is a difference between the results of physics students learn science through the implementation of cooperative learning model type TAI with demonstration method by direct instructional model in learning science-physics. This research is an experimental research with design research using randomized, pre-test, post-test design. Data collection methods include observation, test, interview, and documentation. Methods of data analysis using Independent Sample T-Test with SPSS 16. Results of this study are students' learning activities through the implementation of cooperative learning model type TAI with demonstration method for learning science-physics criteria are very active and there is a significant difference in learning outcomes science -physics students when using cooperative learning model type TAI with demonstration method by direct instructional model.
