PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION (TAI) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA FISIKA SISWA KELAS VIII-B SMP NEGERI 1 SUMBERSUKO

Abstract

This study aims to improve science process skills and the students science-physics achievement by applying cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Sumbersuko, which involves students in class VIII-B (30 students) in 2013/2014 academic year. The design of this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data collection method in this study is using observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data obtained are science process skills and the students science-physics achievement were analyzed using N-gain. The results showed that (1) Team Assisted Individualization cooperative learning model can improve science process skills. It can be seen from the increase in students' science process skills in the first cycle was about 0.42 (medium category), on the second cycle was about 0.65 (medium category), and on the third cycle was about 0.68 (medium category). (2) Team Assisted Individualization cooperative learning model can improve the students science-physics achievementclass VIII-B. It can be seen from the increase in the students science-physics achievement in the first cycle was about 0.24 (low category), the second cycle was about 0.66 (medium category), and the third cycle was about 0.66 (medium category).
