SIMULASI NUMERIK MASSA PELURUHAN INTI ZAT RADIOAKTIF UNSUR URANIUM-238 DENGAN METODE ALJABAR MATRIKS

The purpose of this research is to search the residual mass, atom quantity, and the activity of U-238 that is formed from process naturaly decay chain U-238 till stabile become Pb-206.Uranium decay process has been processing since the early forming the earth. The solution of decay chain using matric algebra method which is simulated using matlab program. Result of the research shows that the amount of residual mass, quantity of atom and decay activity are influenced by half-life nuclide and the duration of decay it self. More time needed for decay process, more quantity of atom and residual of nuclide mass. Secular equilibrium occured during in the decay process of U-238 which the parent of decay process and the daughter nuclide in the same tame, 42 million years after the early forming of the earth.
