PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) DISERTAI METODE EKSPERIMEN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA SISWA KELAS XI IPA 3 SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 3 JEMBER
Abstract
This research purpose to describe the improvement of student’ scienceprocess skills and students’ physicsachievement byusing cooperativelearning model Think Pair Share (TPS) typewith experimental method. The kind of research was classroom action research by Hopkins design. The research was done in two cycle and started with pre-cycle activity. The subject of this research was the students of class XI IPA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. Techniques to collect the data are portopolio, observation, test, interview, and documentation. A technique of data analysis was normalized gain formula (N-gain) to determine students’ scienceprocessskills improvement and students’ physicsachievement improvement. Based onthe analysis of the data, showedthat the increasingof student’ scienceprocess skills are0,39from pre-cycle to cycle I and 0,67 from pre-cycle to cycle II. The improvement of students’ physics achievement are 0,47from pre-cycle to cycle I and 0,75 from pre-cycle to cycle II.The reresearch can be concluded that the cooperativelearning model Think Pair Share (TPS) typewith experimental method can improve students’ scienceprocessskills in medium category and students’physicsachievement in high category.
