Abstract

process guided inquiry with a concept map; 2) to study the effect of guided inquiry models with concept maps to physics student learning achievement. This study is experimental research with posttest-only control design. The population is all of X degree student at MAN 1 Jember in 2013/2014 academic year with the sample 2 class as experiment class and control class. The techniques of data collection areobservation, documentation, test and interview. Data analysis technique used percentage of analysis used for learning activities and independent sample t-test SPSS 16 programe to study the differences in learning achievement. The study conclude that: 1) Student learning activities during the learning physics model guided inquiry with concept maps in physics class X in MAN 1 Jember in 2013/2014 academic year are included in the category of very active with percentage 87,66%. (2) Model guided inquiry with concept maps significantly influence to the results of class X students studying physics at MAN 1 Jember with sig 0,043.
