THE EFFECT OF USING STICK FIGURES ON LISTENING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT OF THE EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMPN 13 JEMBER IN THE 2012/2013 ACADEMIC YEAR
Abstract
Abstract.This research was intended to know whether there was or not a significant effect of using stick figures on listening comprehension achievement of the eighth grade students of SMPN 13 Jember in the 2012/2013 academic year.Theresearch design was Quasi Experimental Research with nonequivalent group pretest posttest design. The students’ scores of listening comprehension achievement were analyzed by applying t-test formula. The result indicated that the value of t-test was 2.17, while the t-table with the significant level 5% and degree of freedom (Df) 56 was 2.00. The value of t-test was 2,17 and it was higher than 2.00 (2.17>2.00) .In conclusion, there was a significant effect of using Stick Figures on Listening Comprehension Achievement of the Eighth Grade Students of SMPN 13 Jember in the 2012/2013 academic year.
