Author Guidelines

LENTERA HUKUM welcomes the contribution of articles from scholars and practitioners in the field of law and cognate disciplines. An interdisciplinary approach is strongly encouraged to the submission. The Journal will consider the submission of articles from 7,000 to 15,000 words, case comments from 3,000 to 7,000 words, and book reviews between 1,000 and 2,500 words. All manuscripts should be well written in English (UK) or Bahasa (Indonesian) in Californian FB with font size 12. Please refer to Journal's technical guidelines and template here.

Manuscripts should be submitted through the online journal system available here.  In this system, the new author must register as a new user before submitting the manuscript. Please follow the available instruction on the online system to finish the manuscript submission.

Before the submission, authors are required to ensure that manuscripts have been written well in English (UK) or Bahasa (Indonesian) and the citations should conform as closely as possible to the McGill Law Journal (Canadian Guide to Uniform Legal Citation). See the link to follow the instruction here. With regard to this, each author is highly encouraged to use Zotero or Mendeley as citation tools that provide various citation styles to ease manuscript's citation to be written correctly.

It is solely the author’s responsibility to ensure that the manuscript submitted to the Journal is original and plagiarism free. Editors have the right to decline the submission when it is found that the manuscript is detected with plagiarism. All manuscripts will be reviewed through doubled blind review by our reviewers. The Journal, after manuscripts receive comments and suggestions from reviewers, has the rights to accept or reject manuscripts have been submitted to the Journal.

Due to a very high number of manuscripts submitted to the Journal, we normally need at least three months prior to our decision whether manuscripts are accepted for publication or rejected from publication. However, all authors are advised to submit manuscripts earlier than three months from the regular date of publication as it is our standard by which all articles should pass rigorous reviews before the publication.

All contents of the Journal are freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this Journal. The Journal does not request financial payment from authors and will not provide offline printed journal. All published articles can be accessed online for free.

All inquiries regarding manuscript submission, journal policy and any other relevant information regarding the Journal can be emailed to lenterahukum@unej.ac.id or posted to the Faculty of Law, Universitas Jember, Kalimantan Road 37 Jember, East Java, Indonesia.
