Revitalisasi Kekejaman Penjajah dalam Puisi “Rangkasbitung” Karya W.S. Rendra
Abstract
This article discusses a poem by W.S. Rendra “ Rangkasbitung”. This poem depicts the cruelty of the
colonial regime on the revitalization of the Dutch colonial era. An examination of the history of the
nation is indicated by Multatuli (a pseudonym) Max Havellar author. Through the book looks a concern
for the nation of Indonesia. He stated that the occupation can be devastating to people, especially
young people. Ironically at the time of independence there are still many irregularities and policies in
favor of the rulers, corrupt state officials in the increasingly rampant, land evictions common people, so
that people's suffering never stops. The poem is a social protest to the authorities to be more concerned
with the lives of ordinary people.
