The Use of Police registers in the Jatanras NET TV Program

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk penggunaan, perubahan makna dan fungsi penggunaan register kepolisian dalam acara Jatanras NET TV. Dari hasil dan pembahasan diatas dapat diketahui bahwa penggunaan register kepolisian berupa istilah dilakukan untuk menyesuaikan dengan tema acara, istilah yang digunakan relatif sama agar lebih informatif. Rancangan penelitian yakni berupa kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan data dari perspektif sosiolinguistik (tuturan) dengan jenis penelitian deksriptif. Data penelitian berupa tuturan dari presenter, narator dan anggota kepolisian beserta konteks penuturannya yang mengindikasi penggunaan register kepolisian dalam acara jatanras NET TV. Sumber data penelitian ini berasal dari tuturan presenter, narator dan anggota kepolisian dalam beberapa video yang diunduh melalui akun YouTube pada channel “Jatanras Net Tv”. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah Teknik dokumentasi (Simak-catat). Teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) bentuk penggunaan register kepolisian ditemukan: a) bentuk dasar, b) bentuk berafiks, c) bentuk abreviasi, d) bentuk akronim, e) bentuk akronim dan f) bentuk majemuk. (2) perubahan makna ditemukan: a) penyempitan dan b) ameliorasi. (3) fungsi register ditemukan: a) instrumental, b) heuristik dan c) kebudayaan atau penamaan

This study aims to describe the form of use, changes in meaning and function of using police registers in the Jtanras NET TV program. From the results and discussion above, it can be seen that the use of police registers in the form of terms is done to suit the theme of the event, the terms used are relatively the same so that they are more informative. The research design is in the form of qualitative which describes data from a sociolinguistic (speech) perspective with a descriptive type of research. The research data is in the form of speeches from presenters, narrators and members of the police along with the context of their narrative which indicates the use of police registers in NET TV's janras program. The data source for this research comes from the speeches of presenters, narrators and members of the police in several videos downloaded via a YouTube account on the "Jatanras Net Tv" channel. The data collection technique is a documentation technique (see notes). Data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that (1) the forms used in the police register were: a) basic forms, b) affixed forms, c) abbreviated forms, d) acronym forms, e) acronym forms and f) compound forms. (2) changes in meaning were found: a) narrowing and b) amelioration. (3) register function found: a) instrumental, b) heuristic and c) culture or naming.
