This journal was jointly established by the University of Jember, The Centre for Human Rights, Multiculturalism and Migration (CHRM2) and Indonesian Consortium for Human Rights Lecturers (SEPAHAM) Indonesia. It is an official publication of the Indonesian Consortium for Human Rights Lecturers (SEPAHAM Indonesia) and The Centre for Human Rights, Multiculturalism and Migration (CHRM2) and is published by University of Jember. The editors in chief now are Al Khanif of University of Jember, Nyi Nyi Kyaw of University of Singapore and Dian Abdul hamid Shah of Malaya University.
The purpose of this journal is to collect and publish academic works from members of SEPAHAM Indonesia and other scholars from any disciplines as well through a peer-revieweing process. Editorial board team consists of scholars with human rights and law expertises especially human rights and law in Southeast Asia as the main focus of this journal. But still, we welcome articles which examines human rights issues in Southeast Asia from various perspectives such as political, religious, and social perspectives.
The Journal is published in June and December each year. All articles published in JSEAHR are open access which can be downloaded by all parties such as authors, students, university professors, public library as well as university librarians
