This journal is a joint-venture of the Indonesian Consortium for Human Rights Lecturers (SEPAHAM Indonesia) and The Centre for Human Rights, Multiculturalism and Migration (CHRM2) and is published by the University of Jember. The current chief editor is Al Khanif of the University of Jember. The purpose of this journal is to provide a platform for the publication of academic works which pertain to human rights issues in Southeast Asia and beyond or regarding Southest Asian specific perspectives on human rights. Though this journal was created to showcase the works of authors affiliated with SEPAHAM Indonesia, it welcomes submissions form any scholars whose work pertains to the aforementioned topics.
New editions of the journal are published every June and December. All articles published by JSEAHR are made available online in an open access format and can be downloaded free of charge by all interested parties and individuals.
