Analysis of Mathematics Student Books for Vocational High Schools Class XI Curriculum 2013 Revision of Sequence Materials Based on Seven Criteria
Abstract
This research was motivated by several shortcomings in the Kemendikbud XI grade mathematic student book. Therefore, an analysis of the mathematics students' books for class XI of sequences was carried out based on seven criteria to find out what the shortcomings of the book were along with providing recommendations in the form of suggestions and solutions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The results obtained show that there are still shortcomings from several analysis criteria, namely there is no glossary and index, it is not yet free of plagiarism in terms of images, footnotes are not available, references are not up-to-date, the originality of illustrations is still questionable, it has not developed industrial revolution 4.0 skills, there is one word that does not fit PUEBI, and the design is not yet attractive to increase reading interest. The shortcomings are given recommendations in the form of suggestions and solutions.
