Since its inception, Jurnal Kajian Pembaruan Hukum has set a high standard of review and publication. The Editorial Board ensures that all manuscripts published in this journal contribute to the global conversation on law reform. Since January 2022, this journal has been accepted for inclusion in DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). It is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high-quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals.

Today, the DOAJ database has over 15,000 peer-reviewed open access journals that cover social sciences, including legal studies. After this inclusion, this journal gains better visibility, accessibility, reputation, usage, and impact of quality as the peer-reviewed and open access scholarly platform.

Many aggregators, databases, libraries, publishers, and search portals collect DOAJ's metadata and include it in their products. Examples are Scopus, Serial Solutions, and EBSCO. Over 95% of the DOAJ Publisher community said that DOAJ is important for increasing the journal's visibility. Also, DOAJ is often cited as a source of quality, open access journals in research and scholarly publishing circles.
