The Indonesian Journal of Law and Society is the faculty-edited flagship journal of the Faculty of Law, University of Jember, Indonesia, which exclusively publishes all papers in the English language. It is a refereed journal, all published papers were under a double-blind peer review by academics and experts in the field.

Aims, Focus, and Scope

All types of manuscripts, from socio-legal, empirical, to doctrinal will be considered for publication. This publication encourages empirical and cross-disciplinary areas of law relating to political science, criminology, history, sociology, human rights, technology, and political economy.

At retaining the focus to explore law and society issues in developing countries, this journal accommodates the intellectual horizon of the discipline that embodies comparative and international nature. If you have prepared a manuscript solely limited to analyzing a national legal system, the Editorial Board suggests you embed it with a comparative or international dimension. Otherwise, your submission may be rejected.
