Abstract

This study explores the leadership strategies employed by the school principal in building community trust at SDN Rowokangkung 01 Lumajang. The primary focus is on the implementation of democratic leadership, which involves active participation from all stakeholders, including teachers, students, and the community. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research reveals that the principal successfully enhanced trust through community involvement in school program planning and implementation, as well as transparent communication. The findings indicate that these leadership strategies are effective in improving student performance, strengthening the relationship between the school and the community, and increasing new student enrollment. The evaluation of these strategies highlights their positive impact, with the rise in community trust serving as the main indicator of success. These findings provide valuable insights for developing leadership strategies in educational environments that emphasize participation and transparency.
