Abstract
Abstract. The implementation of problem solving learning strategy based on wankat and oreovocz theory has seven stages namely I Can, Define, Explore, Plan, Do It, Checked, and Generalize. Strategy problem solving can improve student achievement score and students activity. This statement on student achievement score and students activity who improved after using problem solving learning strategy based on wankat and oreovocz theory. On cycle I, activity students individually of 67,35 % with category “considerable active”. While in cycle II activity students improved by 75,06 % with category “very active”. The final scores students on cycle I, showing 15 students done and 6 students have not been done. In clasical results learning at cycle I have percentage of 71,43 %. While in cycles II there are 14 students done and 7 students have not been done. Clasical results learning from cycle II presentas percentage of 66,67 %. That show that already reach minimal standards completed that over 60 %. Although at final scores cycle ii decrease but in test scores cycle II has improved from 59,97 % to 79,97 %. so that the implementation of problem solving learning strategy based on wankat and oreovocz theory can improve student achievement score and avtivity students for linear system of equations and inequalities one variable.
