KAJIAN PENERAPAN TIPE LAJUR SEPEDA DI KOTA CIMAHI

Abstract

According to FHWA, the main principles of developing cyclist facilities are safety, comfort, and connectivity. The selection of the type of bicycle lane is based on the Guidelines for Designing Bicycle Facilities on the vehicle volume and vehicle speed percentile. Route 1 and Route 2 which are the case studies of this research are located in the strategic area of ​​Cimahi City, which usually occurs quite high activity both on weekdays and on weekends. Considerations in the used of bicycle lanes in Cimahi City besided traffic volume and vehicle speed percentile considered the existing road conditions. So that the type of bicycle lane in Cimahi City can be applied without disturbing the existing road conditions..

ABSTRAK

Prinsip utama pengembangan fasilitas pesepeda menurut FHWA adalah keselamatan, kenyamanan, dan konektivitas. Pemilihan tipe jalur sepeda berdasarkan Pedoman Perancangan Fasilitas Sepeda terhadap volume kendaraan dan kecepatan kendaraan persentil. Rute 1 dan Rute 2 yang menjadi studi kasus penelitian ini berada pada Kawasan strategis Kota Cimahi, yang mana biasanya terjadi aktivitas yang cukup tinggi baik di hari kerja maupun di akhir pekan. Pertimbangan dalam penerapan lajur sepeda di Kota Cimahi selain volume lalu lintas dan kecepatan kendaraan meninjau kondisi eksisting jalan. Sehingga tipe lajur sepeda di Kota Cimahi dapat di terapkan tanpa mengganggu kondisi eksisting jalan.
