Identification and Analysis of the Effectiveness of Handling Blackspots on Urban Roads (Case Study: Depok City)

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify blackspots, determine the diagnosis and causes of accidents at the blackspot in Depok City, and develop a program for handling them. The method to identify the blackspot is the network screening method with the simple ranking method, ACF, and EPDO. In this study, a blackspot was found on Jalan Raya Bogor (in front of Pertamina gas stations), Sukamaju, Kec. Cilodong, Depok City. Traffic accidents that occur tend to be front-back and front-front collisions involving pedestrians and often occur at night with dim lighting conditions. There are several ways to handle blackspots or mitigating accidents, such as the installation of rumble strips, zebra cross, street lighting, signs, and tree logging. After handling the blackspot, the number of accidents is predicted to decrease from 7 to 3 accidents. The BCR value is 93,663 > 1, so that the treatment program is feasible to be implemented.


ABSTRAK


Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi blackspot, mengetahui diagnosis dan penyebab kecelakaan pada titik blackspot Kota Depok, serta menyusun program penanganan dan perbaikannya. Metode untuk menentukan titik-titik blackspot adalah network screening method dengan metode simple ranking, ACF, dan EPDO. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan titik blackspot di Jalan Raya Bogor Km. 37 (depan SPBU Pertamina 34.164.05), Sukamaju, Kec. Cilodong, Kota Depok. Kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi cenderung bertipe tabrakan depan-belakang dan depan-depan yang melibatkan pejalan kaki dan dominan terjadi pada malam hari dengan kondisi pencahayaan redup. Penanganan yang dilakukan pada blackspot yaitu pemasangan pita penggaduh, zebra cross, lampu penerangan jalan, rambu-rambu, dan penebangan pohon. Setelah adanya penanganan blackspot, angka kecelakaan diprediksi berkurang dari 7 menjadi 3 kecelakaan. Didapatkan nilai BCR sebesar 93,663 > 1 sehingga program penanganan layak untuk dilaksanakan.
