This research design uses "Control Group Design". The sample of this research is 11th grade students of Natural Sciences Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi State High School, 11th grade Natural Sciences as a control and 11th grade Natural Sciences as a group of experiments conducted learning using Project Learning on chemicals in everyday life. Variables examined include students' creative thinking skills and student learning activities. as indicators of creative thinking abilities include fluency thinking skills, flexible thinking skills, original thinking skills (Originality), and elaboration skills (Elaboration). In accordance with the learning model Project Learning, then as an indicator of student learning activities, among others, involvement in designing, involvement in group discussions, and involvement in preparing projects. Measurement of students' creative thinking abilities is done by doing a post test, while measuring student learning activities is done through observation using a checklist. The results of this study prove that learning through the project based learning model significantly (p <0.05) can improve fluency and flexibility in thinking, also increase student participation in discussion and practicum activities. But significantly (p> 0.05) unable to improve the original thinking skills and detailed skills and the character of discipline and responsibility.
