Peran Mahasiswa dalam Peningkatan Literasi Lingkungan di Masyarakat Sempu Banyuwangi
Abstract
Environmental literacy is a form of public awareness of caring for the environment. This not only discusses environmental issues, but also sets the framework for environmental literacy. Environmental literacy is divided into several parts, namely knowledge, awareness, and ethics. This research is included in a qualitative approach. The research location is in the Sempu Banyuwangi area. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the theory of Miles and Huberman namely reduction, presentation, and verification or conclusion. The results of the study as a whole the level of understanding of the environmental literacy of the Sempu community is quite good regarding awareness of the surrounding environment, knowledge, attitudes and behavior. The role of students in this case acts as a companion and motivator in efforts to increase environmental literacy with training activities. Apart from that, it still shows the need for a companion role in providing environmental literacy to the Sempu community to increase knowledge and awareness about the environment
