Focus and Scope
Historia is an academic journal jointly managed and operated by some expert historians and society at the History Department, Faculty of Humanity, University of Jember. The Journal serves as an interdisciplinary arena for the discussion and distribution of academic articles on classical and contemporary historical studies in Indonesia and beyond.
Historia welcomes all scientific-historical articles that offer interdisciplinary approaches in fields of history, social sciences, humanities, contemporary history, and classical studies in Indonesia and beyond. A manuscript with some study case and historiographical approach will be preferable. However, the journal will still consider the manuscript with a descriptive-analytical approach for publication as long as it provides issues and contextual discussion and uses an interdisciplinary approach to examine the cases.
The objective of this journal comes from the past context of issues within the framework of history with the hope that this journal eventually serves as a platform for the distribution, discussion, and debate of a plurality of opinions and perspectives on classical and contemporary historical studies in Indonesia and beyond.
In keeping with its commitment to distribute and disseminate information and knowledge to as broad an audience as possible, Historia allows free and open access to all of its published works.
