Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Submit the manuscript at https://jurnal.unej.ac.id

Peer Review

This journal uses a single-blind review process. Contributions will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the article.

Submission checklist

Please check the file that has to be submitted for the article review.

Ensure that the following items are present:

All necessary files have been uploaded

1. Cover Letter (compulsory)

2. Manuscript (compulsory):

  • Page length maximum of 50 pages, A4 sized, for all types of articles.
  • The manuscript is typed with font Times New Roman 12 pts, double spaced with line numbering starting from 1 in each page.
  • The file type is the Office document format.

Article structure

One author has been pointed as the corresponding author with an e-mail address as contact details.

 a. Abstract

Summarize the content of the paper within a maximum of 250 words. Ensure all the content is explained clearly and chronologically. Please include keywords maximum of 8 words or phrases.

b. Introduction

c. Material and methods 


d. Results and Discussion

e. Conclusions 
The main conclusions drawn from results should be presented in a short Conclusions section (maximum 100 words).

f. Acknowledgments

Provide financial and other support for the conduct of the research and/or preparation of the article.

g. References

References must be written in numerical order according to the first citation in the text.

3. Figures

Provide all the figures in one separate file with relevant captions included. One page contains only one figure. Please indicate clearly if color should be used for any figures in print.

4. Tables

Provide all the tables in one separate file with relevant titles, descriptions, and footnotes. One page contains only one table.

Please ensure that all figures and tables are cited in the text. The maximum count  to be included in the manuscript is 6 total figures and tables (additional data should be uploaded as supplementary materials).

 5. Graphical Abstracts (where applicable)

Graphical abstract size is 500 x 1300 pixels minimum, or proportionally more. Preferred file type is TIFF or MS office files.

6. Highlights files (where applicable)

7. Supplementary materials (where applicable)

Submit supplementary material with the article and supply a concise, descriptive caption for each supplementary file.

 8. Proof correction certificate (where applicable)

 9. Reviewer recommendation

Recommend up to maximum 5 names to be the reviewer. They must be experts in the related field. Write the name, expertise field,  institution, and contact e-mail address of the recommended reviewers.

 10. Submission declaration (compulsory)

This declaration states that the work has not been published previously (except as an abstract, lecture, or academic thesis) or submitted to other publishers simultaneously. Please download the submission declaration file here (link).


 Use the internationally accepted system of units (SI). If other units are mentioned, please give their equivalent in SI.
