Abstract

Model of discovery learning is a learning process that focuses on mental intellectual students in solving a variety of problems encountered, so that students can use her mental process to find a concept or the generalization of being studied and can be applied in the field. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence model of discovery learning process skills against science and learning results students on subjects science-physics at Islamic Junior High School Jember 1. This type of research is research experiments with design research using the post-test control group. Data collection methods included test, observation, portfolio, documentation, and interview. Methods of data analysis using Independent Sample T-Test with the help of SPSS 16. The results of this research are obtained average value of science process skills in the experimental class of 86,78 and 74,59 of the control class. Science process skills based on the results of the analysis of the Independent Sample T-Test acquired ttest of 8,398. While the student learning results obtained average value on experiments of 85,23 class and grade control of 73.52 an. Results of the study based on the analysis of the Independent Sample T-Test acquired ttest of 8,387. Based on the data obtained, the conclusion that can be drawn is a model of discovery learning science process skills affects and results of student learning on subjects science-physics at Islamic Junior High School Jember 1.
